But in the case of sales between now and 1st January, 1954, of property subject to Land Tax, which, on 1st April, 1950, was owned by a corporate or unincorporated body of persons or by the sole trustee of a charitable or public trust, the vendor and not the purchaser will be liable for the redemption money which will become payable after 1st January, 1954.
