asked the Minister of Health if he is aware of the shortage of nursing staff at the West Park Hospital, Macclesfield, which is resulting in the closing down of wards; and what remedy he has to meet the situation.

Yes. My right hon. Friend is informed that the Hospital Management Committee is taking all possible steps to recruit additional nursing staff so as to reopen the closed beds.
