HC Deb 21 April 1953 vol 514 cc47-8W
Mr. Callaghan

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General what representations have been made to him about the provision of a better television service to the Isle of Man; and how he proposes to meet the request.

Mr. Gammans

My noble Friend has recently received a deputation from the Isle of Man about the possibility of a television station being opened to serve the island. The deputation were assured that the whole question of the B.B.C.'s plans for television development will shortly be reviewed by the Government, and that their representations would receive full consideration in this context.
