HC Deb 02 April 1953 vol 513 c184W
Mr. Speir

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air how many Royal Air Force personnel stationed at Ouston Aerodrome, Northumberland, have been charged with civil offences during the past three years; and whether he is aware that acts of ill-discipline by members of the Royal Air Force Regiment stationed there have been causing annoyance to residents in that area.

Mr. Ward

About 20 airmen have been charged with civil offences during the last three years while serving at R.A.F. Station, Ouston. I very much regret the annoyance caused to local residents by the recent case of housebreaking in which two members of the R.A.F. Regiment were involved, but I can assure my hon. Friend that the general level of discipline at the station is satisfactory.
