§ 82. Mr. Burdenasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs why so much is spent by his Department on transport services amounting to £1,220,000 in 1952–53.
§ Mr. NuttingThe need for expenditure on transport was exhaustively examined last year by the Select Committee on Estimates, and I would refer the hon. Member to the Committee's Seventh Report dated 25th July, 1951. In spite of rising costs, the estimate of expenditure for the current financial year shows a decrease of £155,000 over the estimate for the previous year.
