HC Deb 21 October 1952 vol 505 c90W
96 and 97. Colonel Gomme-Duncan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) what was the extent of the damage to the Loch Garry Hydro-Electric Works in the recent floods; and what is the estimated cost of replacement and repair;

(2) what was the extent of the damage to the Loch Quoich Hydro-Electric Works in the recent floods; and what is the estimated cost of replacement and repair.

Mr. J. Stuart

I am informed by the North of Scotland Hydro-Electric Board that the recent floods at Loch Garry and Loch Quoich did not cause damage to the hydro-electric scheme, which is still under construction. Some damage was done to the contractors' temporary structures, and the cost of making it good is a matter for settlement between the contractors and their insurers.
