Mrs. Whiteasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works, as representing the Lord President of the Council, what proposals were made in 39W the joint memorandum submitted by the Director of Scientific and Industrial Research and the Medical Research Council on the study of human factors in industry; and what action has been taken to implement them.
§ Mr. MolsonThe proposals in question are for the setting up of two joint committees, one on individual efficiency and the other on human relations, to advise on matters relating to the study of human factors in industry. The composition of the proposed committees is at present under consideration and an announcement will be made as soon as possible.
