HC Deb 25 November 1952 vol 508 cc28-9W
71. Mr. W. Ross

asked the President of the Board of Trade what steps he is taking to encourage the export of agricultural machinery.

Mr. Mackeson

Her Majesty's Government have encouraged the expansion of agricultural machinery exports in many of the ways used to promote export production and trade generally. These include favourable treatment of the industry's steel requirements, issue of building licences, provision of market information and export credit facilities.

I am glad to take this opportunity of emphasising the important contribution made to the export drive by the agricultural machinery industry.
