§ Mr. J. StuartProposals for strengthening and clarifying the existing law on the protection of wild birds have been submitted by the English and Scottish Wild Birds Advisory Committees. These proposals are being very carefully examined by my right hon. Friends but I regret that they cannot at present give any undertaking about new legislation on this subject.
