§ 114. Sir W. Smithers
asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if, in view of the wave of crime and 36W violent assault, he will introduce legislation to stop the sale to children of toy coshes, particulars of which have been sent to him.
§ Sir D. Maxwell Fyfe
Any such proposal raises considerable difficulties, including the difficulty of definition and that of singling out this particular type of toy for exceptional treatment, but I am carefully examining the matter.
