§ Mr. Boyd-CarpenterOn average over the last three years, surveys undertaken to assist information activities have been 17 per cent. of the work of the Social Survey, and surveys for other administrative purposes 83 per cent. The corresponding proportions in the 1952–3 Vote provision are 5 and 95 per cent. Respectively.
