Brookeasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer on what date it was announced that the additional foreign travel allowance in respect of a motor-cycle would be limited to £5: on what date the limitation took effect: and what amount of foreign currency he estimates will be saved by this restriction.
§ Sir A. SalterThis allowance was announced on 31st March and took effect from 1st April. Previously there had been no fixed allowance for motor-cycles. It is not possible to estimate the financial effect of the change.
