§ 17. Mr. Godberasked the Minister of Food what quantity of potatoes of the 1951 harvest it is estimated will be surplus to normal requirements for human consumption; and what steps he proposes to take to avoid any waste of these.
Dr. HillThe potatoes offered to the Department at the guaranteed price will be sold for human consumption or as stock-feed. I cannot at present estimate what quantity will be required for the former purpose.
