§ 27. Mr. Osborneasked the Minister of Food if he will ascertain from the Government of Australia how far the severe drought now being experienced in the Dominion will result in any curtailment in the food supplies to the United Kingdom.
Dr. HillThe recent drought has reduced production of meat, milk products and other foods. It is too soon to say precisely how this will affect food shipments to the United Kingdom which have been declining for some time for other reasons. We are in constant touch with the Australian authorities.
