HC Deb 14 March 1952 vol 497 c165W
Mr. Baker

asked the Minister of Health if he will exempt from the prescription charge rural doctors dispensing their own prescriptions.

Mr. Crookshank

It is intended that the charge should be paid by the patient and it would not be equitable to exempt from the charge such patients as happen to get their medicines from dispensing doctors. I am about to discuss the doctors' difficulties with the British Medical Association.
