§ Mr. Russellasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what is his policy with regard to further encroachments on the Green Belt.
§ Mr. H. MacmillanThere are two questions involved here. The first is what land should be included in the Green Belt. Local planning authorities concerned are making specific proposals for the Green Belt in their development plans, and when these are submitted to me there will be an opportunity of considering whether their proposals are adequate.
The second is what building if any should be allowed on the land earmarked for Green Belt. Only in exceptional circumstances would I think it right for this to be allowed.
