§ 42. Mr. Dribergasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Defence how many ex-miners, who were serving in the Far East last year, have now applied for release to return to the mining industry; from which services these applications have come; and how many have been granted.
§ Mr. BirchTwenty-five applications for release have so far been sent to the National Coal Board—13 from the Navy and 12 from the Army. Fourteen of these applications have been granted, three have been rejected and eight are under consideration by the Board.
