§ 82. Mr. C. S. Taylorasked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware of the danger to the public caused by allowing horses to be either ridden or led after dark without a light; and what steps he proposes to take to deal with the matter.
§ Mr. MaclayI am aware that this practice has its dangers, although it is not the cause of more than a fractional percentage of total road accidents. I will see whether advice on this subject can be included in the Highway Code when it is next revised. Meanwhile, I will consider other means of bringing the matter to the attention of those concerned.
