HC Deb 21 February 1952 vol 496 cc69-70W
144. Mr. Deedes

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General whether, in the light of experience of the last five years, he will review the functions and operation of Cable and Wireless, and the relations of this industry with the Post Office since April, 1950.

Mr. Gammans

The existing organisation was not an act of the present Government, but my noble Friend is inclined to doubt whether it would be profitable to attempt any uprooting. The new organisation has as yet hardly had time to settle down.
