§ 59. Mr. T. Brownasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer when it is intended to restore the Mithraic Altar, the only one its kind in the country, to its position in the British Museum.
Mr. ButlerThe British Museum possesses two sculptured groups, both representing Mithras slaying the Bull, from Mithraic shrines in Italy. Both are at present in a basement available to students, and the larger of them will be placed on public exhibition during this month.
