§ Major Lloyd GeorgeThe 225,000 tons needed to end rationing could be bought, but not for sterling. As I explained on the 12th November to my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Lewes (Major Beamish), dollars, or other non-dollar currency which cannot be afforded, would be needed.
