§ Mr. D. Jonesasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies when he proposes to make available to the Government of the Windward Islands the necessary capital to enable them to implement the report of the United Nations expert, who recommends the establishment on the island of St. Lucia of a plant to produce thermal energy from the sulphur springs available on the island.
§ Mr. LytteltonThe expert carried out a preliminary investigation only. He reported that, before experimental drilling could be undertaken a detailed geological study of the area would be necessary. As a first step, two seismologists will shortly examine the area.
