26. Mr. Popplewell

asked the Secretary of State for War how many National Service men are undergoing their basic training at the Newcastle-upon-Tyne military depot; and how many Regulars are in the training section.

Twenty-three Regular soldiers are at present employed in training 120 National Service men and 56 Regular recruits.
