§ Mr. J. Morrisonasked the Minister of Works what the cost of fuel-gas and electric current for public buildings, Class VII, 3, 1, at £4,850,000 in 1952–53 represents per head of the personnel accommodated in those buildings.
§ Mr. EcclesThe public buildings concerned include Government offices, museums and galleries, certain Ministry of Pensions hospitals, certain training centres, research establishments of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, certain Ministry of Food and Stationery Office stores, coastguard stations and houses, the Tower of London, the Royal Mint, and, for solid fuel only, most Post Office buildings and prisons. I do not, therefore, think that it would be practicable to calculate the cost per head of the occupants.
