HC Deb 05 December 1952 vol 508 cc187-8W
Mr. Baker White

asked the Minister of Transport whether he will issue an order to make the portion of Pont Street, east of Sloane Square, a "No Waiting" street in order to lessen the traffic congestion which often arises in this street from vehicles being parked for long periods on both sides of the street.

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

I do not think that a "No Waiting" order would be appropriate here, but when the experiment in unilateral waiting in some other London streets has been tried, I will consider whether it could usefully be extended to this length of Pont Street.
