HC Deb 04 December 1952 vol 508 c164W
64. Mr. Nally

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will make a full statement as to the results of his investigation into the circumstances under which a person reputed to be in the Prison Service received payments for supplying accounts for publication of alleged continued espionage work by Dr. Fuchs.

Sir D. Maxwell Fyfe

I have not been able to establish beyond doubt the identity of the person who supplied inaccurate information about this prisoner to the Press, but there can, I think, be no doubt that the person concerned was not a member of the prison service.
