HC Deb 28 November 1951 vol 494 c149W
Sir I. Fraser

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air whether, in view of the need for the maximum home production of food, he will review the use of land by his Department.

Mr. Birch

I do not consider that any special review is necessary, since the Air Ministry always makes as much land as possible available for food production, and all units at home are alive to the importance of using such land to the full.

Any new land required is obtained in accordance with the provisions of Command Paper No. 7278. This ensures that the appropriate agricultural department is consulted beforehand.
