HC Deb 27 November 1951 vol 494 c124W
67. Mr. M. Lindsay

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will greatly simplify the Census of Production.

Mr. H. Strauss

My right hon. Friend is carefully considering the future programme for censuses of production in order to secure economy of effort both in industry and in the Board of Trade. It is not desirable to alter the arrangements for the Census to be taken in 1952 in respect of production in 1951. The Order defining the scope of this Census has been made and the forms are already printed.
