HC Deb 22 November 1951 vol 494 c78W
61. Captain Duncan

asked the Minister of Agriculture what are the main subjects which the White Fish Authority are now engaged in considering; and whether these include the question of transport charges for fish.

Sir T. Dugdale

The Authority are exploring a wide variety of subjects, and ideas are still in the formative stage. In these cases I do not think it would be desirable to attempt to give a list but as my right hon. and gallant Friend the Minister of Food said in reply to the hon. Member for Aberdeen, North (Mr. Hector Hughes) on 12th November last, we understand that the White Fish Authority are considering the question of equalising transport charges.
