HC Deb 20 November 1951 vol 494 c30W
94. Mr. G. Thomas

asked the President of the Board of Trade what steps he is taking to control the prices of toys during the Christmas season.

Mr. H. Strauss

I am glad to say that plenty of toys of nearly every kind are available to the public. Competition is keen, and if the public buy with discrimination they will get value for their money. We do not consider price control to be necessary.
