HC Deb 19 November 1951 vol 494 c2W
21. Mr. Peart

asked the Minister of Supply what steps his Department is taking to increase the production of sulphur and sulphur-bearing materials.

Mr. Hopkinson

I have been asked to reply.

Plans are well under way to recover sulphur in this country from oil refinery gases and coking plants, and to produce sulphuric acid from native anhydrite. All possible action is being taken to facilitate the supply of construction materials and plant required.
