26. Mr. Ewart

asked the Minister of Supply if he will take steps to see that there is an adequate supply of pig iron available to the foundries on Wearside, so that full employment and output can be maintained.

Mr. Sandys

I much regret that there is not enough pig iron available to meet the full demands of the foundries at the present time.
