HC Deb 09 November 1951 vol 493 c3W
Mr. Dodds

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, in view of the annoyance and perplexity caused to the growing numbers of foreign visitors, if he will now change the regulation which prevents a person staying in a hotel from paying for a drink for a friend there out of hours.

Sir D. Maxwell Fyfe

I will consider this suggestion, but legislation would be necessary to give effect to it.
