HC Deb 31 May 1951 vol 488 c40W
73. Mr. Erroll

asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department, as representing the Lord President of the Council, how many boreholes have been made on the special advice of the Geo logical Survey of Britain; how many are at present being drilled; and how many are awaiting drilling as part of an established programme.

Mr. de Freitas

Two exploratory bores have been sunk for the Geological Survey in Staffordshire at Bagots Park, near Uttoxeter and at Whittington Heath, near Lichfield; one boring is being completed at Northleach in Gloucestershire and one is just being started at Slamannan in Lanarkshire. No other borings are awaiting drilling.
