HC Deb 11 May 1951 vol 487 c272W
Colonel Clarke

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether, in order to add to the amount of coke available to consumers, he will consider increasing the allocation of coal to the nationalised gas industry, thus saving the necessity of so much coke being used in the production of water gas.

Mr. P. Noel-Baker

Full account has been taken of the considerations referred to by the hon. and gallant Member in the plans which have been made for the supply of coal and gas oil to the gas works.
