Mr. de Chair

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies how long work has been in progress on the building of the new aerodrome in the leased territories on the mainland at Hong Kong; and when it is expected to be ready for service.

No constructional work has been undertaken on the proposed new civil aerodrome at Deep Bay in the leased territories, as consideration is now being given to an alternative proposal to improve the existing aerodrome at Kaitak.
