§ Mr. Carrasked the Postmaster-General what was the number of applicants waiting for telephones in the borough of Mitcham on 1st January, 1950, and 1951; how many installations were made during 1950; and what is the longest period for which anyone has been waiting.
§ Mr. Ness Edwards1,986 on 1st January, 1950, and 1,959 on 1st January, 1951. Three hundred and fifty-nine new subscribers were connected during 1950. The earliest outstanding application was made in 1943.
§ Mr. Carrasked the Postmaster-General when it will be possible to install equipment in the extension to the Mitcham Telephone Exchange, which was completed in February, 1951.
