HC Deb 20 March 1951 vol 485 cc269-70W
135. Mr. E. Fletcher

asked the Secretary of State for War if he will make arrangements to enable National Service men who have developed conscientious objections to military service after doing their basic National Service but object to further service with the Territorials, to have their claims for exemption considered by a civilian tribunal before they are called upon for such further service.

Mr. Strachey

I am looking into this matter and will write to my hon. Friend.
