HC Deb 13 March 1951 vol 485 c154W
150. Mr. Spence

asked the Secretary of State for Air how far the plans for the new 2,000-yard runway at Dyce airport, Aberdeenshire, entail the demolition of any existing dwelling-houses and the closing of any existing rights of way.

Mr. A. Henderson

A survey of Dyce airfield is now being carried out in connection with my Department's plans and until this is complete it is not possible to say with certainty which dwelling-houses will be affected. The development of the airfield will involve closing a number of highways some of which are only footpaths, and I am consulting my right hon. Friend the Minister of Transport about what can be done to minimise the consequent inconvenience.
