HC Deb 13 March 1951 vol 485 c138W
70. Colonel Crosthwaite-Eyre

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether His Majesty's Government are satisfied that the recent conversations between the Organisation for European Economic Cooperation and the Raw Materials Commodity Groups in Washington have secured the integration of the interests of members of the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation and the Commodity Groups in Washington.

Mr. Gaitskell

Yes. Following discussions between Dr. Stikker and the Secretary-General of O.E.E.C., and the Central Group of the International Materials Conference, the O.E.E.C. have been invited by the Governments of the United Kingdom, France and the United States to join the Central Group. This invitation was welcomed by the Council of O.E.E.C. at its meeting last week.
