HC Deb 05 March 1951 vol 485 cc3-4W
60. Mr. Storey

asked the Minister of Supply whether, in view of its effect upon the delivery of milk in bottles, he will reconsider the cut in the supply of zinc to metal crate makers.

Mr. G. R. Strauss

I regret that I can hold out no immediate prospect of increasing the supply of zinc to the gal- vanisers of milk bottle crates. There are, however, substitute materials which can be used or the crates can be used un-galvanised and I have no reason to suppose that the delivery of milk in bottles will be affected.
