HC Deb 29 June 1951 vol 489 c167W
Mr. Llewellyn

asked the Postmaster-General what is the average time an applicant for a telephone in the Cardiff area has to wait before his order is fulfilled.

Mr. Ness Edwards:

Service is provided in a few weeks in priority cases where plant is available. No estimate can be made of the average time for completion in other cases, but there should be a substantial speeding-up when the new exchange is opened.
