Fraser:From March, 1949 when the issue of licences for this purpose began, to December, 1950, my Department authorised local authorities to issue 241 licences to people wishing to build houses with their own labour. I have no information about the licences issued since the beginning of this year. about the number of applications rejected by local authorities without reference to the Department, or about the number of houses completed.
