§ Mr. GaitskellI am satisfied that the area electricity boards are fully aware of His Majesty's Government's policy,220W and in particular of the request to the banks not to provide further finance for hire purchase activities. I am asking my right hon. Friend the Minister of Fuel and Power to draw the attention of the boards again to the undesirability of any unreasonable expansion in hire purchase.
