§ Mr. Linsteadasked the Minister of Education what was the cost per place of building the nursery and primary school at Ricardo Street, Poplar; and how many vacant places there are in the two sections of the school.
§ Mr. Hardman£182 and £196, respectively. The nursery school, which will provide 80 places, is not yet completed. The primary school was opened on 9th April last with accommodation for 520 pupils. On 25th May, the latest date for which information is available, there were 397 pupils on the registers.
