§ Mr. M. Lindsayasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will take steps to arrange for men who have been called up as reservists to be excused jury service, on request, for a reasonable period thereafter.
§ Mr. EdeA reservist who receives a summons for jury service and has good reason for not attending may apply to the summoning officer to be excused. The decision rests with the summoning officer or the court, and I have no authority to issue directions.
