§ 74. Mr. J. Morrisonasked the President of the Board of Trade if he will give an assurance that all possible steps have been taken by him to obtain sulphur supplies from Norway; and what amount has been received from that country in the last two years.
§ Mr. BottomleyYes. Our interest in obtaining supplies of sulphur from Norway has been expressed in the course of trade talks with the Norwegian Government. The normal markets for sulphur recovered from pyrites in Norway are Sweden and Finland, where this material is largely used in the pulp and paper industries. There have been no imports from Norway over the last two years.
