§ 76. Mr. Russellasked the Minister of Food what quantity of cheese has been bought by his Department from the United States of America during 1951, and what was its cost in dollars; and what quantity has been obtained from Canada during the same period.
§ Mr. WebbDuring 1951 my Department has bought from the United States of America 11.2 million lb. of cheese at a cost of 3.2 million dollars. I have agreed to purchase 20 million lb. of Canadian cheese from this year's production, but none has yet been received. Negotiations for further purchases from Canada are now going on.
