Lucasasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware of the proposal of the Indian Government to tax the service pensions of former British officers of the Indian Army, contrary to the agreement and understanding between the British and Indian Governments; and what steps he proposes to take to compensate those concerned and to see that they get the pensions to which they are entitled.
