Mr. Snowasked the Minister of Supply whether his attention has been drawn to the threat to supplies of scrap raw materials through the action of local planning authorities in issuing enforcement notices, under Sections 23 and 24 of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1947, demanding the closing of old established yards operated by vehicle dismantlers and licensed scrap merchants; and what action he is taking to preserve these yards.
